Caesar salad is one of my favorite easy lunches, especially in the summer! I love adding grilled chicken as my protein source, and sometimes I use my Low Calorie Oat Wraps to make a chicken caesar salad wrap!
While classic caesar salad dressing is delicious, I also find it to be quite heavy and it is no secret that it is high in calories. In the past, diet culture has steered us away from creamy salad dressings as they are high in fat and are not the ‘healthiest’ option. While this may be true, I have found a great way to make creamy salad dressings taste amazing, while still healthier and lower in fat and calories!
The secret is….
Greek yogurt! I love using greek yogurt in salad dressings because it is creamy and delicious, but has a lighter taste and texture than mayo or oil based dressings. It is also high in protein and lower in calories, making it the perfect salad dressing base if you are mindful about what you eat.
All you need to make this healthy caesar salad dressing is:
- Greek yogurt
- Dijon mustard
- Parmesan cheese
- Lemon juice
- Garlic powder
- Salt
That’s it! This is the easiest salad dressing ever. I like to throw all of the ingredients and blend it up for the smoothest, creamiest caesar salad dressing that will make you feel your best, without sacrificing taste!
